Sowing & Planting

• Plant garlic, rhubarb and new bare-root fruit trees and bushes - provided the ground is not frozen or waterlogged

Harvesting

• Harvest leeks and root vegetables
• Pick autumn and winter brassicas

Preparation

• Prune apple and pear trees and soft-fruit bushes
• Dig over your plot adding plenty of well-rotted organic material
• Cover beds to protect the soil
• Check nets over Brussels sprouts and other brassicas
