August Working Party

Thank you to those members who came to the working party session yesterday. It was hard work but the area around the manure enclosure and the raised bed has been tidied up. The hedge along that perimeter has been cut too.

Hedgehogs on our Site

​In August, Carolyne brought two hedgehogs to the site for release. One poor animal only had 3 legs (probably the result of a strimming accident so a lesson to us all) but seemed fine when it was released.

One was placed in the hedgehog hotel on Carolyne’s plot and the other under a shed. They may not stay in these hides but now have the run of the site. 

We are very fortunate to get these two and have to thank Carolyne.

Spring Plant Sale 

The Spring plant sale went very well, raising money for our society and our chosen charity Cordelia de Lange Syndrome.  Thanks for all your donations and help with the event.

Frosty January

A frosty start to the year but the allotment is already showing signs of new life.
